Surat: Indians have been attempting to break records for a long time and while everyone loves their job, one woman from Surat decided to make a very interesting record by using her skills at hairdressing.
After people in Chennai made a record for most number of headstands at the world Yoga festival, a beautician from Surat named Sheetal Kalpesh Shah went on a hair cutting spree at 9:14 am on December 10 and stopped exactly 24 hours later on December 11.
The idea which came up during a casual conversation with her husband, led Sheetal to set a record of 571 haircuts in 24 hours, a record which was previously held by a UK based couple with 512 haircuts in 24 hours.
