Video: Extraordinary footage shows baby born inside the amniotic sac

Childbirth is a significant event in the lives of several individuals across the world and it’s an experience people love sharing with as many people as possible. In the age of social media, stunning videos showing the extraordinary moment have made their way to the internet.

One such incredible clip doing the rounds online captures the rare incident of a baby being born inside the amniotic sac. Less than one in 80000 babies are born ‘en caul’ and it happens when the membrane around the baby doesn’t break during birth.

The sac which protects the baby from movement usually breaks when labour starts. But in this case doctors had to break the sac with their hands as the baby’s face can be seen pressing against the fluid filled sac.
