Good luck charm for Virat Kohli
Seems like the Indian soil has done wonders to Team India and Virat Kohli, now playing the World Cup in England. Team India has won two consecutive matches against the strong teams of South Africa and Australia after the team received some ‘lucky’ soil from Vishal Bharti Public School, Delhi, where Kohli studied and learnt cricket in his childhood days.
“The idea of sending soil from here to Virat was that of our school and Star Sports India Team as Virat’s roots are in this school. All of us enthusiastically participated in this idea along with the budding cricketers of our school and the teachers who taught him,” shares Principal Amita Saxena, who adds, “It was a very emotional moment for us to send the soil of the school where Virat grew up as it brings back memories of the time when he first acquired his skills as a cricketer. This will probably encourage and boost the morale of our captain so that he and Team India put up a glorious performance and finally bring back the Cup for India.”
Certain that the skipper will feel an instant connect with the gift, she adds, “Our best wishes to all the members of Team India and our captain Virat Kohli for ICC World Cup 2019.”
