AIB's sarcastic new video about how people react to depression is going viral

Depression is given names like 'typhoid' and 'fever' to make people realise that it is like any other sickness

Depression is quite a serious issue and the people who suffer from it have a very difficult time however people around don't treat it the same way. They often mock them which makes it even more difficult for the people suffering from it.

Indian stand-up comedy group All India Bakchod recently addressed a very important issue about how people talk about depression when they meet someone with it. The video terms depression as ‘fever’ and ‘typhoid’ to highlight how it is nothing special but just like any other sickness people are facing and there is no need to make a big deal out of it. The depressed person is often faced with questions like how are you depressed today, you were very fine yesterday. They often treat it as a misconception and tell the person to get out of the house so that they could feel fine.

The video has now gone viral with an important message at the end highlighting the need to help individuals in depression. The video creatively takes a dig at all the people who criticize depressed people and their so-called ‘abnormal’ behaviour.
