On Thursday N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh watched NTR Kathanayakudu a biopic made on his late father-in-law and legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao. Both the lead actor and CBN’s brother-in-law Balakrishna, and director Krish were present at the special screening in Vijayawada.

“Initially I was a bit scared whether Balakrishna would do justice to it, but I am happy that he lived in his father’s role,” Chandrababu Naidu said. Pointing out that it was not easy to do a biopic on a person who is one of the most famous persons in the world, Chandrababu said, “You can’t compare anyone with NTR even till today. He is known for his mythological roles and became the Telugu pride. I am happy that Balakrishna pulled off the role very well.”

The CM felt that Balakrishna looked like NTR in the film and that it rekindled memories for him. “I felt that it was NTR in it. Everyone gave a lively performance and lived in their roles,” Chandrababu enthused, adding, “Everyone must see the film, as one would get inspired by NTR’s life.”

Rana Daggubati plays Chandrababu Naidu in the film. When asked how he looked in it, CBN laughed and said diplomatically, “You are the better judge, you have to tell.”
