Film lovers, rejoice!

Cinema lovers can witness Chilean celluloid at its best at CAC auditorium this month.

This July, get ready to watch three popular films -—Jackie, Rara and The Maid — as part of the ongoing Chilean Film Fest happening at CAC auditorium, IS Press Road, Kochi. The films will be screened every Friday. The first Friday had Neruda directed by Pablo Larrain.

Pablo's other historic movie Jackie, which is about one of the most important and tragic moments in American history, will be shown on 14 July. The movie, developed through the eyes of Jacqueline Kennedy, places us in her world during the days following her husband's assassination.

Rara, directed by Pepa San Martin, is next in line and will be shown on July 21. It narrates the story of Sara and her younger sister who live with their mother, whose new partner is a woman. They lead a normal life but not everyone sees it that way.

The Maid directed by Sebastian Silva is the final movie to be screened at the fest. It is the story of Raquel, a maid who has worked in an affluent Chilean household for more than 20 years, rediscovering herself.

All screenings will begin at 6.30 p.m. Entry is free.
