Doctor outraged over Facebook banning viral photo of woman delivering her own baby

Facebook reportedly banned a picture of a woman delivering her own baby.

Obstetrician Lin Tzu-hung, from Taipei, Tawain, shared the memorable moment on Facebook. He captioned the photo: "This super brave mum just delivered her own baby. Beautiful."

It soon went viral and then just as quickly got banned. The doctor stated Facebook "classed the image as pornography", the Metro reported.

"Facebook banned my heart-warming mum self-delivery photo as pornography," a disappointed Doctor Lin is quoted as saying by the Metro.

He later posted the picture on Instagram.

While some social media users in Taiwan appreciated the meaning of the picture, they also understood why it was banned. One user explained to the doctor that it may be too graphic and not everybody would want to view the image.
