Summer of 2017!

Students from the city, too, are making most of their break.

Most students are on a break this summer, but it is not the time to get into a lazy mode. Summer is a great time to take up a new hobby or pad your resume with important work. Students from the city, too, are making most of their break.

Padmini Pamaraju, an MBBS graduate
I’m pursuing my internship from MNR Medical College and Hospital, Sangareddy. I thought this is the time to gain some experience. It’s been a month since I’ve started working here and it has been rewarding. Truthfully speaking ‘intern life’ is the polar opposite of ‘student life’ and there is no smooth transition from studying to working and it’s definitely not as easy as I thought it would be. There’s a whole lot of chaos, hectic schedules and unexpected incidents each day that you have no choice but to roll with the punches. But then again, I guess that’s how one trains to save lives. There is no spoon-feeding like there was in the classes, it’s only the passion and a burning desire to learn that takes one forward.

Mohammed Bin Sayeed Basuleman, CBIT
I took up an internship with Dell and I’m really excited about this. I think, students need to start honing their skills during summer. I enjoy leadership and management, so an internship is great.

Rachel Priyanka, St. Joseph’s Degree College
I’m currently a volunteer and also a lead vocalist for the worship team/band in Church. That’s keeping me busy. I’m also attending a youth camp scheduled for the last week of May. There are also a lot of friends asking to catch up, now that the exams are over.

Premika Reddy, CMR College of Pharmacy
I will start volunteering for a social cause. I’m also going to pursue an internship in pharmacy to further my knowledge. Right now, I’m getting in touch with my crafty side and working on art projects. I’m also catching up on reading good books, as I didn’t get to read anything other than academics during college!
