'Husband wanted': Woman takes to streets with signboard after spouse abandons her

A woman was abandoned by her husband and in-laws after knowing that she was suffering from cancer. Shandong Ding Zhen, 28, stated that her husband and his family left her after she got sick and her leukaemia treatment became too expensive. They also took away her young son.

In this heart breaking video, she stands wearing her wedding dress on the streets of Jinan asking for help desperately.

She requires a bone narrow transplant and opted for a unique way to fight back her illness.

As she cant afford her treatment, she stood on the city’s street wearing her wedding dress and held a ‘husband wanted’ sign in the hope to catch attention of someone who would help her.

Zhen says that her husband tried to divorce her thrice due to her illness.

“ After I got sick, my husband did not give a penny to help treat me. My husband’s family took the only remaining 15,500 yuan (AUD$3200) life-saving money to escape his family, disappeared, also my one-year-old son away. All I want to do is approach the biological father. husband rule I still think this is a huge burden of disease in order to evade his responsibility. My husband also went to court three times filed for divorce, but never succeeded,” she told The Daily Mail.

Zhen who is living with her elderly parent is facing a tough time as they earn around AUD$500 a month. The clip shows her crying on the street holding her son’s picture.

For Zhen her son is her only hope of survival and she haven’t seen him in last six month.

“I do not know the whereabouts of relatives and friends, so I was forced to wear my wedding dress and hold "husband wanted" ‘signs and leaflets in the streets. I hope in this way I'll be able to see my son again,” she said.
