A youth festival organised by Sree Shankaracharya Sanskrit University, Kalady, is taking place on the campus premises. Titled Chowkidar Tale 2019, the fest that started on Monday and will come to a close on Wednesday intends to give an insight into the current political situation to the students and society as a whole, say organisers.
They opine that the fest is a protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s false campaigns and misuse of power. They have chosen this as the theme as they feel that putting an end to a reign that is carried out by dividing people in the name of religion is possible only through educating the coming generation.
According to the organisers, close to 1500 students are taking part in the three-day fest that is being held in venues named as Abhimanyu Nagar, Simon Britto Nagar, Lenin Rajendran Nagar, Manjusha Nagar and Ashitha Nagar.
