Noble way for better future

The Vision 2020 pledge was recited by Hrishikesh Nair, CEO of Technopark.

The World Blood Donor Day was celebrated at Technopark on July 3, commemorating the organisations and individuals that have shown great commitment in voluntary blood donation. Minister of Tourism, Cooperation and Devaswom Kadakamapally Surendran inaugurated the event, which was also attended by Kerala University Vice Chancellor Dr V.P. Mahadevan Pillai and the newly appointed Assistant Collector of Thiruvananthapuram Anu Kumari IAS.

The event acted as an impetus to the concept of Vision 2020 that envisages making the blood banks in Thiruvananthapuram city self-dependent in blood supply by 2020. The Vision 2020 pledge was recited by Hrishikesh Nair, CEO of Technopark. The presidential address was delivered by K.P. Rajagopal, vice-president, Kerala Blood Donors Society (KEBS), while Sarada Jayakrishnan, DGM, Quality, Terumo Penpol Private Limited, gave the keynote address.

As many as 200 institutions and organisations were honoured during the event.
