Hyderabad girl secures All-India Rank 5

Sravani is now looking forward to pursuing studies in commerce.

A spirit of celebration has taken over the country following the declaration of results of almost all the major board examinations. While a large number of students across the nation seem to have outperformed, Hyderabad, too, has emerged with flying colours.

Among the many, who made it to the coveted high ranks, Jonnalagadda Ananta Sai Sravani of Amritha Vidyalayam, Mahendra Hills, Secunderabad, has made Hyderabad proud with her astounding score of 495 out of 500 i.e. 99 per cent in her CBSE board examination, thereby securing the fifth position among the toppers in the country.

“I knew I had done well but I truly wasn’t expecting to score 99 per cent. Initially, I was quite nervous about appearing for the examination. However, writing my preliminary exams helped me feel a lot more confident. My parents are quite proud of my achievement,” Sravani said.

However, the best things in life don’t come easy now, do they? “I began preparing in the month of November itself. I devised a time table according to which, I studied for eight hours every day ahead of the examinations and split my time judiciously between subjects. During the examinations, though, I had to put about 12 hours a day into studying,” she added.

Sravani is now looking forward to pursuing studies in commerce. Makes sense, considering economics and mathematics happen to be her favourite subjects. “I love mathematics and economics, so I think I’ll do well if I pursue my further education in commerce,” she said. In addition to academics, the meritorious student is into drawing, classical singing, and loves good cinema.

The city’s very own Jonnalagadda Ananta Sai Sravani of Amritha Vidyalayam makes Hyderabad proud by scoring a stupendous 99 per cent in the CBSE board examinations of 2019
