Video: Gunman attempting to rob store spooked by cashier's deadly stare
Police in Florida (US) have released video footage of what maybe a first during a robbery attempt.
In the video posted on Youtube, a man is seen casually walking into a store, grab some candy and then make his way over to the cashier.
While the cashier is billing him up, the man gets his gun out and points it at him.
Now, what follows is not a tussle for the gun, or a gun shot or even an angry exchange of words.
No not at this store. The cashier gives him a deadly look that lasted a few seconds. It seemed to have spooked the gunman who put his gun away and walked out of the store.
When news broke of incident The Sun Sentinel asked 26-year-old Jayson Shipp, the cashier, how he managed to stay so calm through it all. "I honestly didn't see a reason to. He seemed like an amateur," he responded.
Even though Shipp got out of the situation unharmed, police urge people to cooperate with the robber and not risk their lives.
