Video: Kolkata security guard can give Arijit Singh a run for his money

Kolkata: India has an enormous pool of unidentified talent even as more young people have been making it big by wowing crowds with their singing, acting or dancing skills. But social media has opened doors for people who did not get access to popular media, to go ahead and show their talent to the world.

While there have been fruit sellers becoming overnight singing sensations and a tea vendor going on to charm women across borders, a watchman has now joined the list of talented people making waves on the digital space.

In a video doing the rounds on Facebook, the security guard at a Kolkata mall can be seen singing a song from Khamoshiyan originally popularised in Arijit Singh’s voice, and it cannot be ruled out that the man gave tough competition to the Bollywood singing sensation.

While many fail to achieve their dreams due to lack of recognition, such videos are increasingly giving a chance to people who want to take their talent from the streets to a wider audience.
