Chennai: Three entrepreneurs whose innovations brought about a change in agriculture, road construction and medical care bagged the CavinKare- MMA Chinnikrishnan Innovation Awards 2017 on Thursday.
Dr S. Kavita, CEO & Director, FIB— SOL Life Technologies Pvt Ltd partnership with Dr Anand developed N-FIB 20, low weight biodegradeable safe & stable bio fertiliser. G Venkatasubramaniyan, inventor & partner, CMR Bitplast built roads with plastic waste, through wet process technology, which is cost effective. Ponram P, director, Tejas Translational Technologies, has come up with an innovative biomedical device - “Vein Probe Vein Finder” that can locate veins in patients within seconds making it easy to insert needles.
“Tamil Nadu, in recent years, has transformed into a hub of innovation with many start-ups emerging not just from Chennai bust also from Tier-2 and Tier-3,” said chairman & managing director of CavinKare C.K. Ranganathan.
