Watch: Shocking moment jogger pushes woman in front of running bus
A shocking footage has been shared by Merton Police on their Facebook page which shows the moment a woman came inches from death after an aggressive early morning jogger pushed her in front of a running bus.
According to the Facebook page, “The 33-year-old woman was walking across Putney Bridge on the east side heading towards Putney Bridge Tube Station when a male jogger knocked her over into the road and into the path of an oncoming bus, which narrowly missed hitting her, swerving at the last minute.”
The footage shows her head dangling perilously close to the front of an oncoming bus, which manages to swerve at the last minute and just avoid her.
The Facebook page went on to add that Sergeant Mat Knowles, the investigating officer from Putney Safer Neighbourhood Team, said that the victim was put in extreme danger when she was knocked into the road. It was only due to the superb quick reactions of the bus driver that she was not hit by the vehicle.
The jogger is described as a white man, aged early to mid 30s, with brown eyes and short brown hair. He was wearing a light grey t-shirt and dark blue shorts.
