Thiruvananthapuram: Cynthia Chandran, Assistant Editor, Deccan Chronicle, Thiruvananthapuram, has won last year’s K. Madhavan Kutty Award for best English feature for the report on the plight of sales girls in the state (Standing Girls Tell Sad Tales), which appeared on April 12, 2015. The award, instituted by the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club, is the premier award for feature writing in the state. The award will be distributed at a later date.
