Viral ad perfectly reveals the reality of workplace sexism

One of the many places where women have to experience gender discrimination is the workplace. Unfortunately, sexism is rampant even in offices situated in metropolitan cities where people are supposedly broad-minded. An ad by a popular women’s watch brand aptly shows how people still don’t give women their due even when they manage to succeed professionally on their own.

The opening scene of the ad shows a high-level corporate meeting in which the panel discuss promotion recommendations submitted by their team heads. Intrigued by how an executive describes the top recommended candidate, ‘Kiran’, they start imagining what Kiran must look like and the kind of relationship she shares with her superior, Rajat.

Finally, the panel summons Rajat’s recommendation but then get a huge surprise and perhaps even learn an important lesson. To find out, do check out the ad.
