Popular gifts company Hallmark has chosen to go more inclusive this year by showing a gay couple in its Valentine’s Day commercial. The ad shows a glimpse from lovers Spencer Stout and Dustin Reeser engagement that went viral on the internet recently.
Apart from gay couples, the ad also depicts young couples, old couples, and relationships in which one of the partners is differently-abled. After all, love knows no boundaries.
Perhaps this bold initiative by Hallmark will set a precedent for other big brands to break the heternormative mould and explore romance than ever before.
