Video: Double amputee from Indore drives with feet, seeks trip to Leh

His application for a license was rejected on the basis that he cannot give signals with his hand.

Indore: Several daily activities including traveling have become easier through technology for human beings; there are people who often make excuses for carrying out the simplest tasks.

But there are also people who prove that no task is greater than will power of a human being, as people have been painting, surfing and cycling among other things, even as they are affected by supposed inabilities.

Among these is Vikram Agnihotri, a 45-year old double amputee from Indore, who uses his legs to perform all activities which others use hands for. But apart from all everyday tasks in the house, Agnihotri also drives a car, and he is pretty good at it.

He drives an automatic gear car, holding the steering wheel with one foot and using the other to accelerate and apply brakes. But despite this, his application for a license was rejected on the basis that he cannot give signals with his hand.

But Agnihotri is surely not one to give up and has been filing petitions to state ministers and Nitin Gadkari. He aims to drive all the way to Leh soon.
