Sandalwood actress Rashmika Mandanna, who is also popular in South Indian cinema (after she made an impressive debut in Kannada with Kirik Party) celebrated her birthday on Thursday. After her Sandalwood debut, Rashmika, a year later, made an entry in Tollywood with Naga Shaurya starrer Chalo which also turned out to be one of the biggest hits. Rashmika is the go to actor for many filmmakers.
The social media was abuzz with wishes for the pretty actress. Having started her career as a model, Rashmika had a dream start to her career in films with Raskhit Shetty’s Kirik Party and later went on to act alongside top Kannada stars like Ganesh and Puneeth Rajkumar. The actress who studied in the city ventured into modeling during her college days. Rashmika was crowned the face of a beauty beand in 2014, the year in which she began her modelling career. That’s how she got her first break in her Kannada debut film.And since then, there was no looking back!
Rashmika got engaged to her co-star in Kirik Party, Rakshit Shetty, in 2017 and the star couple are one of the most loved pair in Kannada film circles. We wish her a fabulous year ahead!
Deepika to play Sridevi?
Looks like the makers of NTR’s eponymous biopic have plans to sign more Hindi actors for their opus. First they approached Vidya Balan for Basavatarakam’s role followed by Paresh Rawal for Nadendla Bhaskara Rao’s role. And now, they have offered another role to Deepika Padukone.
“The makers are approaching Deepika Padukone for Sridevi’s cameo role. NTR and Sridevi’s combination was a big hit and they had many popular songs. It’s a short role and they feel that Deepika is perfect for it,” says a source.
Directed by Teja, NTR was launched in Hyderabad last week. However, the makers did not announce the entire cast of the project during the event.
Most of the biopic will be filmed in Hyderabad itself with some key scenes in Nimmakuru, which is the late NTR’s native village.
