It's a great nightlife experience: Brenda Munsterman
Brenda Munsterman, general manager of Sensation, was in Hyderabad to attend the show.
“Sensation is not just a disc jockey (DJ) show. There is a theme, which brings in a story. Duncan Stutterheim, the founder of Sensation, recently received the ‘Golden Harp’ award for his contribution towards the growth of the Dutch dance scenario,” said Brenda, adding, “The Golden Harp (Gouden Harp) is an award for Dutch musicians and pioneers in the music scene for their oeuvre. Over 140 people and musical groups have had the honour of receiving the Golden Harp, a prestigious award in Dutch Music.”
The event in Hyderabad was titled ‘Welcome to the pleasure dome’. “We have worked for nearly a year and the production costs about 1.5 million Euros. For the show in Hyderabad, we have many Indian dance performers who have been working on different short presentations choreographed by Patricia van Roessel from Amsterdam,” said Brenda, adding, “There is a centre stage which moves around and this helps every single individual to have more or less the same experience without having to miss out on the ‘front view’. The DJ is in the middle and the stage is turning, so everyone gets an equal look at the DJ. The audience has to adhere to the strict dress code of ‘white only’. This dress code is a tribute to one of our founders Miles Stutterheim who passed away in an accident.”
About Hyderabad, Brenda said, “Hyderabad is a vibrant city with people from all over the country settled here.”
