Talk humanity, not hate, says Pakistani author Qaisra Shahraz
She added that Talaq system should not be encouraged and she would like to work for the women confined to burqa.
KOZHIKODE: Instead of talking about hatred, we should talk about humanity, opined British-Pakistani novelist Qaisra Shahraz. She was addressing the gathering during a talk on 'My Writing, My Thinking' at the Kerala Literature Festival here at Kozhikode Beach on Sunday. Ms Shahraz, who said that she is feeling sorry about the gap in the relation between India and Pakistan, added that ‘Trumpism’ in United States have become a synonym for Islamophobia and sexuality. “I am a Muslim, but I am not terrorist. Making all Muslims scapegoats for the act of terrorism by a small section is not a right way,” she added. She added that Talaq system should not be encouraged and she would like to work for the women confined to burqa.
