AIB's comical satire on the demonetisation fiasco hits the nail on the head
The recent demonetisation of high value currency notes in India has turned out to be a blistering headache for common people. Never-ending queues, cash-strapped ATMs, and constantly changing announcements by the government have been chipping away whatever little patience the public has.
AIB, a popular comedy YouTube channel, recently released a sketch on how the impact of demonetisation is playing out in our casual conversations and day-to-day lives. For example, any honest criticism about the faulty implementation of the scheme is angrily rebuffed with allegations of being an anti-national.
The video also throws light on the largely ignored struggles of the underprivileged sections of society using biting humour.
