Hyderabad: Doctors fights helps over dog poop
HYDERABAD: A quarrel over a pet dog dirtying the children’s play area took a violent turn at Lodha Belleza Apartments, KPHB Colony on Thursday. Police said Dr S.B.V. Ramana Reddy had warned the domestic helps of his neighbour Surekha Vemuri, a tenant, against walking the dog in the play area as its poop could pose health risks to children. On Thursday, the domestic helps, Mr M. Dinakaran and Ms M. Madhavi, took the dog for a stroll in the play area, leading to a quarrel. The doctor reportedly pushed Mr Dinakaran. This led to the domestic helps and Ms Vemuri getting into a heated quarrel in front of the doctor’s house.
Ms Vemuri said, “The doctor was using very vulgar language because of which I had to hit him with my slipper.” Dr Reddy denied that he pushed the domestic help and said, “To save themselves they are blaming me”. Lodha committee member K. Ajay said the tenants would be asked to vacate the premises as they did not follow the pet rules. A case has been registered against Dr Ramana Reddy on Ms Madhavi’s complaint under IPC Sections 323 (causing hurt), 509 (outraging modesty) and the SC/ST (Prevention Of Atrocities) Act. The doctor also lodged a complaint.
