Naked man caught on surveillance video attempting to break-in home
A man in Washington (US) was shocked to find a naked man trying to enter his home on his surveillance video.
The homeowner and his family were sound asleep on the night of May 17 when he was awakened by a cell phone beep that signalled a message from his outdoor security system, according to the Washington Post. When he checked the recording on the video he saw a man with no clothes on.
Detectives in Montgomery County said the naked man attempted to get inside the home before a motion light activated spooked him away.
Police on Friday released footage of the driveway and the attempted break-in in hopes someone will recognise the suspect. The video captures the man jiggling a door knob. When the motion light flashes he runs off. He can also be seen walking around the driveway.
The homeowner wants to remain anonymous so his children do not find out about the incident.
While the man's intentions for the bizarre occurrence is unkown, the only comforting thought for the homeowner was to know the man was unarmed.
