Utopia lives up to its name
While parents today rarely have time to spare for their children, Utopia is an ideal place offering facilities for fitness, music (Karaoke), dance, art, play and adventure, hosting parties and get togethers. Both parents and children can be engaged in activities individually or jointly. It has home theatres for watching movies, a learning room for children as well as a cafe providing homely food and snacks according to one’s own wish.
It breaks the common stereotype of a play area where only children can enjoy, not the parents. The place welcomed differently-abled children during April, the national autistic month, allowing them to have great fun in a healthy atmosphere.
Started by four friends, in November 2017, the centre was founded with the goal of transforming the lifestyle of parents, while they enable their children to play, learn and have fun.
Renovating an old house into a place that offers entertainment, learning and fun, they provide an environment where parents can sit and do their work while children are engaged in their own activities. Specialised trainers and instructors are assigned to conduct classes for fitness, dance, art and craft. They also conduct customised parties, corporate get togethers or theme parties according to the visitor’s wish.
“We try to create an inclusive environment where kids have a wonderful time playing and having fun, without complaint or bullying or any other disturbances, providing them some valuable time,” says Badri Narayan from the organising team of Utopia.
