Video: Guest tries to escape hotel bill by climbing out onto telephone cables
A man in China climbed out of his hotel room onto telephone cables 20 floors high to avoid paying his bill.
Video footage showed him struggling in the air halfway as he attempted to make his great escape to the building across the hotel, the Daily Mail reported.
The incident reportedly occurred in Panzhou of Guizhou Province on September 29.
Eventually, the man, who has not been named, had to be rescued. Panzhou Firefighters who quickly made their way to the scene managed to rescue the daring man in one piece.
Video of his stunt has been viewed 7,350,000 times on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform. "Does he think it's okay to put his life in danger just to avoid paying for a night's stay in a hotel?" one user 'Joker_12138' wrote, according to the Daily Mail. While another wrote: "He really thinks he is filming some action movies, right?"
