Student's essay on love for pizza gets her into Yale Univeristy
American student Carolina Williams was in for a pleasant surprise when she found out her essay on pizza got her into the Yale University.
Williams had to write about her application essay about something they love to do. She decided her topic would be on Papa John's pizza, ABC News reported. "I love to order pizza from Papa John's so much. I do it like once a week," she told ABC News. In her essay, she wrote about how the pizza over the years was a source of consolation and celebration.
The Yale admissions team loved the unique essay so much that they sent Carolina notes telling her how much they liked it. "As a fellow lover of pizza, I laughed out loud (then ordered pizza) after reading your application," read one note to Carolina from Yale's admissions team. Another read, "I laughed so hard on your pizza essay. I kept thinking that you are the kind of person that I would love to be best friends with."
While Carolina was honoured to get the acceptance, she has decided to attend Auburn University instead. "Yale is a great school but Auburn just felt like home to me," she told ABC News.
I just want @PapaJohns to know that I wrote a college essay about how much I love to order their pizza and it got me into Yale ðŸ•ðŸ‘Œ pic.twitter.com/lDlzEErHCn
