Pixel Perfect: A photographic affair

The best way to capture life in all its beauty is through photography.

Some say that the best way to capture life in all its beauty is through photography. A total of 16 photography students from Hamstech Institute exhibited their talent through an exhibition titled Pixel Perfect at State Gallery Of Fine Art recently. “The best part is the exposure we gained as we were mentored by Avinash Gowariker,” says Vamshi, winner at the event.

The exhibition turned out to be a journey of discovery for the students. The themes included nature, fine arts, portrait, fashion, abstract and surrealism and street and still life. The students spent one month travelling around South India, starting from Tenali and going all the way to Ooty. They also visited tribal areas and forests. “It was a great experience as I got to meet new people. The photo that I took at Qutub Shahi tombs received several compliments,” says Angelo, winner of the viewers’ choice award.

The students faced several challenges while clicking the photos. “I worked on street life photos and apart from the scorching summer heat, the other challenge I faced was communicating with people on the street as they were reluctant to get their photos clicked. But the entire experience was worth it,” says Surendhra. The students are ecstatic as the exhibition received great response. “It’s a proud feeling, but at the same time, I want to explore what photography has in store for me,” says Lokesh Katara, a student.
