Mother's surprised reaction after giving birth to son instead of daughter goes viral
Allen Saunders has rightly said that, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” So when mom-to-be Koto Nakamura delivered her baby, she couldn’t be more shocked after learning that she gave birth to a boy instead of a girl. She and her husband Sina Niakansafy had been told by ultrasound technicians that their unborn child would be a girl but then life is full of surprises.
The couple had everything planned, bought all the baby stuff in pink and even chose a name for their future daughter – Hinata. But when their baby came into the world, the doctor declared that it was…a boy. Luckily, birth photographer Jessica Jackson was there to capture Nakamura’s priceless reaction on camera.
“I was shocked for a few seconds, and then it didn’t matter if it was a girl or a boy,” the happy mom told TODAY Parents. The grateful parents have wholeheartedly embraced their newborn son and have named him – Taiga – which means “big and gracious” in Japanese.
