@Reply as you as wish

Now, the user name appears on top of the tweet box rather than inside.

Here is something to cheer about. Twitter has stopped counting “@” replies for the 140 character count of tweets. Twitter will no longer rob the user of their right to air a full thought into one tweet while replying. Now, the user name appears on top of the tweet box rather than inside.

In Techcrunch’s words, the user can now be choosier. “You can tap on this ‘Replying To’ field to see who’s in the conversation and make changes to the reply list, if you choose. This is done by unchecking the checkboxes in the small pop-up that appears on the screen after tapping this field,” it reads.

About a year ago, Twitter lifted a rule that considered including media attachments comprising photos, attachments, GIFs, videos and polls into the 140 words. Reading longer conversation threads has now become easier.

Twitter notes on the blog: “Our work isn’t finished — we’ll continue to think about how we can improve conversations and make Twitter easier to use.” The update is available on website, iOS and Android platforms.
