Watch: Kind vet comforting a scared puppy after surgery

Fortunately, Meesha has now been adopted by a loving family and is living happily in Maryland.

A video of a shelter puppy being comforted by her vet after surgery has been warming people’s hearts ever since it has gone viral. Meesha, a pit bull mix puppy, was able to easily relax after Surgical Assistant Dennis Moses took her in his arms and even sang to her.

The video, which was posted on the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter Facebook page, was captured by one of volunteers who happened to witness the touching incident. The clip shows Moses rocking Meesha gently as he stood in the quiet hallway. He is even seen singing to her and kissing her head.

When asked about what song he sang to the puppy, Moses revealed that he had crooned a kids’ song called ‘Ten Little Froggies’, reports The Dodo. Fortunately, Meesha has now been adopted by a loving family and is living happily in Maryland.

Baby Meesha was coming off her anesthesia and was a little scared because her body felt so weird. BARCS Surgical Assistant Dennis Moses took her out into the quiet hallway to comfort her. One of our awesome volunteers just happened to be walking by to capture this sweet moment. Thank you to Dennis and all the staff who work long, tireless hours in the background of our shelter—saving lives and loving the animals. (Turn on the sound, it will melt your heart!)
