Bengaluru rider sets world record for maximum Uber rides in 2016

The 2016 year-end data shared by cab company Uber revealed that a rider in Bengaluru took almost 3,135 trips with the taxi service in 2016.

Radio cabs and taxi apps have had a major impact on the way people commute from one place to another in many metropolitan cities in India. But one Uber passenger in Bengaluru made such good use of the service that the number of trips exceeded anyone else in the world.

The 2016 year-end data shared by cab company Uber revealed that a rider in Bengaluru took almost 3,135 trips with the taxi service in 2016. This makes it the “highest number of rides taken by a single rider, globally,” says Amit Jain, President of Uber India and South Asia. That would be an average of around eight trips a day.

An analysis report of the rides taken throughout the year reveals that Bangaloreans in general more frequently took Uber rides on Saturdays between 6pm and 7pm, according to reports.
