Visit the monastaries

Sikkim has a number of monastaries that add to the charm of the place. When you visit Sikkim, a trip to this monastaries should definitely be in your itinerary.


Pemyangtse Gompa, Enchey monastery and Rumtek monastery are some of the most notable ones.

River rafting in Teesta River

Teesta River is considered as Sikkim’s lifeline and it is truly so. The River meanders all throughout the state passing by many districts and villages.

Tsomgo Lake

Tsomgo Lake is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Sikkim, Gangtok. It is a glacial Lake that falls en route to the Silk Route.

The Lake is more or less shaped like an egg and the water is a clear blue color. The Lake is surrounded by mountains on all side and their reflection in the clear water is a sight that you will forever cherish.

Yumthang Valley

Pelling is the second most visited town right after Gangtok. Surrounded by a thick forest cover, Pelling has variety of wildlife.


This scenic town is home to the beautiful Khangchendzonga and Changey waterfalls as well.

Nathula Pass

Nathula Pass is a must visit destination for those who are interested in trekking. There’s a trade market near the border where the tourists can find beautiful Tibetan crafts at a very favourable pricing.

The view from the Pass is very captivating and the permit costs only 200 INR per person.
