Significant rise in travel bookings ahead of festival
CHENNAI: With festival season round the corner, many travel agencies here have seen a surge in bookings and say last minute travellers may not find the going easy.
There has been a significant increase in travel bookings with people preferring to book in advance. According to the trends, the average fares for the top 20 sectors on domestic flights have increased by 10 per cent this time from last year. In some of the major sectors, the fare has increased by up to 30 per cent.
