Here's what men need to do if the penis starts to curve
A lack of awareness about sexual health and any conversation about vital organs being kept a hush hush matter has led to a scenario where people are usually very reluctant to talk about issues they have been facing and often don’t even realise if something’s wrong.
While a lot has been said about the size of a man’s penis and how much it matters in a relationship, hardly does anyone ever talk about the shape of a penis. Although a person’s member being slightly bent is fine, it can be serious if the curvature precludes penetration and causes painful sex.
What may seem like a change in shape of the penis, might just be a serious disorder known as Peyronie’s disease, which causes penile curvature. The curvature is caused by development of a scar tissue, and it affects men between ages 40 to 60 as they also experience erectile dysfunction.
A drug called Xiaflex is known to be a treatment for this disease as it is injected in scar tissue, causing it to soften and disintegrate. It causes straighter erections, but a surgery might be required if this treatment doesn’t work.
