Here's the average amount of time we spend having sex in a lifetime
The perceived profound impact of sex on our relationships is something that has always been drilled into our minds thanks to pop culture and society. However, a recent study reveals that people actually spend more time just sitting when compared to having sex.
The study, which was carried out by Reebok, measured the responses of more than 9,000 participants across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Mexico, Russia, Korea and Spain. It was found that the average human spends 29.75 per cent of their lives sitting, either at work or at home – which is the equivalent of around 7,709 days. In stark contrast, the average human will spend just 0.45 per cent of their lives having sex, which is around 117 days in total.
Despite being aware of the numerous health benefits having sex can bring us apart from pleasure, it is surprising that sex is not that much of a priority in the life of the average person.
