Here's how scary movies can bring back the spark in your sex life
Every relationship comes with a phase at the beginning when both partners can’t have enough of each other as there are constantly butterflies in the stomach and a desire to have sex.
But that feeling fades away with time as the emotions and desires are fuelled by a cocktail of hormones like estrogen, dopamine and testosterone, and these with time tend to dissipate.
But all hope isn’t lost since experts suggest that the same sex drive and attraction in a relationship can be revived by getting an adrenaline rush, for which simply scaring yourself is an initial step.
The hormones that cause sexual attraction at the start of a relationship are same as those triggered by fear, and this was seen in a study where men were asked to walk on an unstable bridge and a stable one.
Both sets of men were met with an attractive psychology student at the end who gave them her number to participate in an imaginary study. Those who walked on the unstable bridge were found to be more likely to her out on a date.
So horror movies and high risk adventure sports can actually result in the revival of your sex life.
