It is interesting to note that nowadays youngsters are more wary about approaching the topic of sex and even schools shying away from it. It is thus not surprising that a lot of times youngsters turn to the internet to know more about the taboo topic.

While the internet can be a wonderful place to gain knowledge, most youngsters are soon led astray. Recent findings suggest sex education isn’t sought on purely factual sites, but rather places like adult websites.

According to a story published in The Sun, while viewing porn may not be a crime, it is perhaps the last place to get sex education lessons from.

They list a few lessons that one should not learn from watching porn.

Everyone is thinking about sex all the time: Porn creates the illusion that everyone you meet is just waiting for an offer for sex. This at best can cause misunderstandings between two people, and at worst can lead to coercive and dangerous exploits.

Women will orgasm from no stimulation: Women need continuous stimulation of their hot spots in order to climax. The average woman takes 20 minutes to orgasm, more than double the time it takes for their male counterparts.

Porn films tend to show women going to climax within a couple of minutes. That is not just unrealistic but confusing to the viewer as well.

Everyone loves anal: The anus isn’t self-lubricating and nor does it engorge during arousal like the vagina. Women in porn have been thoroughly prepped before they shoot their scenes.

Fellatio is okay: Perhaps one of the worse practices depicted in porn, it’s not only disrespectful but, because it is so completely unhygienic and foul.

External ejaculation is a must: Porn nearly always shows men climaxing and ‘shooting their load’ all over their partner’s body. While it is okay with consent, in real life most people would find it disgusting and asking permission is essential.

Intricate the positions guarantee the better sex: Porn tends to depict fantastic sex as an act between two people that involves the most taxing positions, changed as often as you take a breath. In reality all this does is halt stimulation, meaning that when you reset you’re starting all over again.

Foreplay doesn’t exist: Porn does not show foreplay and the actors get to it straight away. In real life it is an absolute must. Not only is foreplay fun, it’s also a key element of a mutually happy and healthy sexual experience.

Women love to look: They don’t, not always. Men do love a graphic sexual sight and it’s widely known that most men respond to visual stimulation, but for most women it’s what’s in their head that counts.

Orgasm quite often: Recent findings show that in real world scenarios women tend to climax once, if at all during sex and report that they orgasm far less frequently than their partners.

They’re real people: Actors and actresses in porn films are just that, performers. Porn is a form of entertainment and, as such, should be viewed lightly and definitely not as an instructional guide.
