Women preferring clitoral orgasms have greater control over sexual desires
The female orgasm has already been central to a debates and controversies for decades, and before the 70s it was seen simply as a myth. Recent studies shed light on the evolution and “purpose” of the female orgasm and started another debate.
While it’s known that orgasms are caused by different kinds of stimulation including breast orgasms, a widely held notion is that women who prefer clitoral orgasms are depressed and disturbed.
But a new study says that the idea that women who achieve orgasm without internal stimulation by a penis are not only just mentally stable, but they are actually more in control of their sexual desires.
The women participating in the survey were shown a series of normal and erotic movies, and asked to respond to erotic content as they usually would, while their sexual arousal levels were recorded.
Women who said stimulation of the clitoris was the main factor in their orgasms, were found to have a greater control over their levels of arousal as compared to women who mentioned a combination of clitoral and vaginal stimulation as reason for orgasms.
So preference towards clitoral orgasms does not really indicate towards sadness and anxious behaviour, as per the study.
