True love will never fade
While Valentine’s Day is supposed to remind us to celebrate the relationship we share with our better halves, making things work all year round is what really matters. Telling us how they keep the magic fresh in their lives and what makes things work with them, these celebrities show that true love can exist in today’s world of instant romance:
Love is family time
Yes! You remind me of Valentine’s Day which is tomorrow. However, we share love everyday with our kids and our family. We will surely have a get together tomorrow, relishing tasty and sumptuous food, along with Hrithik, and his kids, Hrehen and Hridhan.
Valentine’s Day celebrations are for the youth, ab hum kya manayenge Valentine’s Day? We are old. But yes, with the family get together, it gives us a special feeling of togetherness.
After relishing some great food, we will probably go on a long drive with the family. This Valentine’s Day is also special because Kaabil has finally been appreciated by all.”

Nagarjuna reminded of good old days
Nagarjuna recently revealed an interesting incident about him and his wife Amala.
Apparently, Amala was so happy with his performance in Om Namo Venkatesaya that it rekindled their romance. “Amala and I watched the film and what followed showed just how much she loves me,” says Nagarjuna adding, “Years ago, when we were in love and got married, we would sit together and talk about many things. And now, after many years, it happened again: Amala didn’t leave my side for an hour. We sat down and discussed various things. I understand now how close I got to her because of this film.”
Making best use of our time
My wife Srinitha makes it a point to remind me of birthdays and our anniversary. Those are the days when, despite my hectic schedule, I make time for her and the family. Our close times are best celebrated at home with family members and children. We do not go for movies, but yes, we do family dinners.
We also often go out for dinner alone — just the two of us. There have been times when it has not been planned and we have made the best of our time together.”

Oodles of Love
The newly turned parents, Shahid and Mira Kapoor, who have a sweet little daughter, plan to exchange lots of love between the three. Shahid says, “Well, I always give a lot of love to my wife on a daily basis. This valentine day, I will return home early, despite a hectic day’s work — aur zyada pyar dunga. It’s going to be a romantic rendezvous with my wife.”
It’s only him, always!
For me, it was always Saab (Dilip Kumar), and no one else. I was his fan from the time I can remember. I always call him the ‘Kohinoor of the film industry’. Even as a teenager, I wanted to be his wife. I am very headstrong and once I made up my mind, there was no stopping me. I knew many women wanted to marry Saab, but he chose me. It was my dream come true and that’s what my marriage has been — perfect. I guess if I was chosen to be his wife, I must be special.
Unki biwi hone ke liye calibre honi chahiye. Looking after Saab, his life and his home comes naturally to me. He had never asked me to give up my career; in fact, he encouraged me to continue with it even after our marriage. But, after a while, my heart was not in my career. I just wanted to take care of Saab.”

We are good friends
We have the same family background and so much in common, that ours should have been an arranged marriage. Javed is fond of saying, ‘Shabana and I are such good friends that even marriage couldn’t ruin our friendship!’
Our marriage has worked for 32 years because we both love the same person — Javed. Every wedding anniversary, he looks at me and says, ‘Aren’t you the luckiest woman in the world?’ There is no other person that I would have rather been married to: He makes me laugh, he makes me think, he pushes me to push myself.”
