Having a good sex life and being desirable takes a lot more than what meets the eye, it turns out that certain personality traits also have a crucial part to play if a person is to have a healthy sex life.
After asking 800 people about their relationship and tendency to help others, Researchers from the University of Guleph and Nipissing University in Canada found that being selfless person is the way to a better sex life.
The results published in the British Journal of Psychology showed that people who think about others more and help them are more desirable for the opposite gender, hence having more success in dating and getting more partners leading to frequent sex.
According to the study altruism developed among humans because it serves as a signal for other desirable qualities, and thus translates into real mating success. This observation came from studies on food sharing by hunters, which indicated that hunters who shared food were more successful in finding mates.
