US presidential elections taking a toll on sex lives of voters

A large number of female democrats were planning on delaying pregnancies, while most republican women prefer having sex over voting.

Washington: A number of factors including stress, depression, fatigue and health issues can have a negative effect in sex lives of people, but now it seems that Americans are having a hard time in bed due to a phenomenon which is making headlines across the world.

The current US Presidential polls, which have turned into a slug-fest between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, have ruined a lot more than an important event in democracy. Sex lives of Americans have suffered a blow due to the negativity being spread due to the fight for the post of president getting increasingly ugly.

A survey on supporters of both parties showed that democrats were the worst affected when it came to sex lives being ruined by the polls. It also said that good economic news was making sex lives of 21% women better, while bad news hit 18% negatively.

The effect of Trumps rise and his views on women on republican voters was seen in an observation that showed that almost half of female republicans were looking forward to having sex on Election Day rather than voting, while 67% of them preferred sex over watching debates in comparison to 50% female democrats who stated the same.

The hysteria about Trumps chances at the presidency is so high that more than half of female democrats were considering delaying their pregnancy. The survey clearly showed that the negative environment was taking its toll on sex lives of Americans, especially women.
