The Great Indian Penis Survey: Know what guys think about their manhood

Conversations about sex and everything related to it have always been marred by awkward silences and an air of mystery that underlines the importance of educating the masses about sexuality and talk about their body.

People in our society are not very comfortable discussing their private parts, and this is exactly why there is a lot men are yet to know about their members, in order to raise awareness about sex.

 

To understand how much men know about their penises and how they see one of the most vital organs of their anatomy, a website called Agents of Ishq decided to break barriers, and conducted India’s first ever ‘penis survey’, and they unearthed some really interesting information.

So here are the results for the great Indian penis survey. Read on and know what Indian men really think of their members.

  • What is your sexual orientation?

Sexuality is a very crucial issue in Indian society, and many are not very comfortable with talking about it. While most of the respondents identified as heterosexual, many also chose more than option, indicating that they sometimes felt they were heterosexual and felt they were bisexual on other occasions.

 

Heterosexual- 82%

Bisexual- 10%

Gay- 7.3%

Asexual- 1.7%

  • What is your relationship with your penis?

While most people seemed to be comfortable with their penis, there were again those who chose multiple options, showing that it kept on changing.

Comfortable- 65%

Proud- 16%

Anxious- 15%

Tender- 12%

Awkward- 6.5%

  • How often do you look at your penis?

Although people are becoming aware of their body and well being in India and a sexual revolution of sorts seems to be taking place in society, there are still many men who don’t look at their members more often.

 

Everyday- 80%

Once in a while- 16.5%

  • What does your partner feel about your penis?

While how men feel about their penis says a lot about changing attitudes, it’s important to know how their partners feel about their members, and there were mixed responses, and were based on size and other attributes.

Positive mild- 49%

Positive strong- 33%

Negative mild- 9%

Negative strong- 6%

Philosophical- 3%

  • Have you ever been shamed or bullied for your penis?

Although facts about penises are not openly discussed in society, some were actually bullied about their penis, and while many were comfortable with their penis now, some were still working on it, and the bullying left an extreme effect on some.

  • What do you call your penis?

Now this section had an array of responses including comparisons to inanimate objects, interesting pet names, military terms and even celebrities. Here’s the list.

Banana, cucumber, carrot, radish, boomerang, sausage, gun, cigar, Mars bar, ice-cream, snake, pen and toothpaste were inanimate objects. Pet names included ‘Bhai’, ‘Star’, ‘Bholu’, ‘Buddy’, ‘Sadnam’, ‘Pazham’, ‘Wongbong’, ‘Juggernaut’, ‘Kanna’, ‘Sparky’ and ‘Jaanu’.

 

The term’s suggesting little were used often, like ‘Chota Bheem’, ‘Pappu’, ‘Little Master’, ‘Kutty’, ‘Puli Kutty’, ‘Junior’, ‘Thambi’, ‘Munna’, ‘little me’, ‘little bro’ and ‘junior Jack’ among others. Some also addressed their member as Sergeant, old captain, lieutenant, major, old faithful and soldier.

Apart from dog and mushroom, Big Ben, lipstick, rock and missile also appeared on the list, and icons like Captain America, Shah Rukh Khan, Bade Miyan, Darth Vader, Batman, Shakti Kapoor and the incredible hulk were also popular.

 

In a society where talking about sex is something that is still gaining acceptance gradually, the survey sheds light on how much the existing and changing attitudes are effecting the relationship between men and their penises.
