Teacher faces action for having sex with students, rating their 'performance'

The relationship between a student and a teacher is a very important one in shaping lives of teenagers and that’s why certain principles need to be followed to maintain professionalism while balancing it with a hospitable interaction with students.

But sometimes shocking incidents can raise serious concerns about how the relationship is being maintained in present times, just like the incident in which a teacher was found to have seduced two of her students and even rated them on basis of their sexual performance.

Even as the importance of sex education is being increasingly emphasised, Kelsey Leigh Gutierrez’s practice of rating the boys after having sex in the back seat of her car is one that clearly promotes risky sexual behaviour, as she later also had sex with one of the students at his residence.

The controversial revelation has seen quick and strict action from school authorities who have terminated the teacher’s services as she was held in custody by police but was later released on payment of a bond with authorities promising serious action against her.
