4-foot dog in race for Guinness World Records

London: A Great Dane measuring more than 4 feet is in the running to be a world record dog. Major, the three-year-old pooch who towers over his owners, is awaiting the judgement from Guinness World Records , due next month, the Mirror reported.

The massive hound is the same height as an average seven-year-old child. Major lives with owners Brian and Julie Williams in South Wales.

The mutt, who turns four in September, loves having his nails manicured. He at an impressive 4ft 1in and measures 40.5 inches to the shoulder. He weighs 12st, WalesOnline reported.
