After incidents of love between pets and individuals have melted our hearts through social media and even cinema, a dog from Madhya Pradesh has an entire village mourning his death, since he lived with them for 27 years.
Yes, residents of a village called Namdar Pura near Bhopal, expressed their gratitude for a dog named Kalu who lived with them and guarded them over the years, by taking out a funeral procession for him.
The villagers showered the deceased dog with flowers and showed exemplary consideration for their guard and companion, in a time when people struggle to find help for carrying bodies of their loved ones.
