Wild Wisdom Quiz, India’s only national-level wildlife quiz, started in 2008 with an aim to sensitise students about the country’s rich biodiversity and natural heritage. The quiz will begin in schools this September. ‘Maze of the Natural World’ is this year’s theme. The national finals will be on October 4. Through the quiz, students will get the opportunity to delve deeper into the facts and figures of wildlife in our country. It is also aimed at inspiring them to work towards it conservation. The quiz is being organised in association with the CBSE. WWF hopes the quiz will be an interactive learning platform for students.

The quiz is open in the following categories: Junior School (Classes III-V), Middle School (Classes VI-VIII), High School (Classes IX-XII). Junior and Middle Schools can register till August 25. The national finals are only for Middle School. Junior School has a city-level quiz. Registrations for High School, which is an online quiz, are on till October 10. To register, visit http://quiz.wwfindia.org/wwq.

Once a school registers, adequate number of question papers will be sent to the school for the initial round. The first two toppers from each school will go on to complete in the city-level quiz to be held at Thiruvananthapuram on September 21.

The city-level winners of Middle School will travel to New Delhi for the finals, the expenses for which will be borne by WWF-India.
