Telangana: Herbivores in Amarabad to be counted
This is part of Phase IV monitoring for the National Tiger Conservation Authority to estimate prey densities in tiger reserves.

Hyderabad: The Wildlife Conservation Society, Hyderabad Tiger Conservation Society and TS forest department will be conducting their first-ever survey to count herbivores. This is part of Phase IV monitoring for the National Tiger Conservation Authority to estimate prey densities in tiger reserves.
Volunteers who are interested in participating in the survey should be prepared trek between 5 km to 10 km and should be ready for camping. Volunteers are expected to carry their own torchlights, binoculars, caps, sleeping bags and medicines. Mr Imran Siddiqui, senior biologist, said the survey offered enthusiasts a chance to see Amrabad and its wilderness.
